Sarah Beaton graduated from the

highly acclaimed, internationally recognised, Newark School of violin making in 1987. 

After completing a three year course in the making of violins, violas and cellos and the repair and restoration of bows and instruments 

Sarah went on to gain experience and practice her restoration and making skills with companies in Toronto Canada and New York.  She now works for herself in England.

Sarah also has a B.Sc in biomedical communications;  the study of art applied to science and medicine which she finds a useful compliment to the art of violin making.  The above illustrations are some of her working studies of important italian violins.
